About Ashley
Ashley Coffey’s Journey
Ashley Coffey started her coaching journey in 2012 during her undergrad by leading domestic violence support groups for women on campus at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). This work is what pushed Ashley to add a second degree in Communicational Leadership alongside Sociology before she graduated in Dec 2013, all while being a single mom.
From February 2014 to July 2016, Ashley worked as a Mental Health Counselor in Denver at a top-ranked juvenile center called Third Way Center. It wasn’t long before she rose in station and was running an entire house of 8 kids and 4 counselors as a Lead Mental Health Counselor. This challenging, yet rewarding work made Ashley passionate about policy and shaped a lot of her views around burnout in service positions, as counselor retention rate was constantly an issue.
So, Ashley went back to UCCS and got her Master's Degree in Sociology in 2018 with certificates in Teaching Diversity & Inclusion, Research Methods (both qualitative & quantitative), and again, Leadership. Her first thesis in 2016 was on Millennial leadership styles in the workplace and how that has shaped a new culture for work-life balance for women. Her second thesis in 2017 was on how to create conscious communities that bridge the gap between sexist & racist daily culture. As a final thesis in 2018, Ashley presented and published her work on the feminine leadership process inside of American capitalism, all while working full-time, dancing on a professional Latin-fusion team, and being a mother and partner.
Since graduating, Ashley has served the business community by managing top real estate offices in Colorado Springs as a leadership consultant. She not only influenced change of culture, systems, operations, and conflict management in these offices, but focused mostly on training from the top-down on conscious leadership. This led to better work-life balance for employees, which ultimately positively impacted recruiting and retention. Because of this, Ashley won a prestigious regional award for growth in real estate in 2019.
Through the pandemic, Ashley decided to leave the corporate world, as her passion for supporting women in leadership grew. She found that no matter where she went or who she coached, the conversations were the same; women were still continuously being left out of important conversations, and growth opportunities and the pay gap was going unchecked. So, she decided to move her consulting business into a coaching business that focuses on the feminine leadership process; normalizing it, supporting it, and empowering it. Ashley has taken on all kinds of Lady Leaders across Colorado since then and finds her work incredibly rewarding.
